HALLOWEEN FESTIVITIES.

The day before Halloween we went to Gardner Village to see the witches!! I love going there and going into all the little shops! It was really cold when we got there and packed! The bummer thing is some of the shops won't allow strollers since they are pretty small individual buildings, and it is such a hassle to take Oliver in and out of his stroller. But the most important thing is that we made it in the Quilt shop and Christmas shop, my favorites. I bought some way cute ornaments and plan to go back soon with Brett :) We ate at there restaurant which was divine! And also got dessert there, sooooo good. It's making my mouth water just thinking about it. If you haven't been you need to go!!

On Halloween Brett and I still didn't have a costume,(I was planning on making them but never got around to it), so we ended up going to the Halloween store and getting Brett a mask and me some cat ears and tail. I had already gotten Oliver's costume weeks before so I was good there. We tend to go all out for Halloween, and each year my mom gets more and more decorations. It is awesome! Some kids were too scared to come to our door. LOL. One of my mom's newest additions to her haunted house was a coffin (that Brett stayed in and scared ppl) and a Lady from the dead (I like to call her Pretty Woman). My mom made beef stew and bought some pies and we had a party!!! I was so glad that we had a much better turn out of trick-or-treaters this year. I was worried that everyone would do the lame-o trunk-o-treat,, BUT we actually got a lot. I love Halloween!!

My first photo for this post is of my little bro. James. He is usually glued to his Xbox but was so sweet to come hang out with us at Gardner Village! This is monumental I'll have you know.
Cai and Olli waiting patiently for their food.
So cute.
After our wonderful dessert. SOoo happy!
Just a few of the witches.
My beautiful mom and sis, all decked out.
Olli was a hardcore skeleton. :)

Our picture with Pretty Woman.. My mom got the coolest witch hat that has a veil and spiders on it, that is what is covering Oliver's eye.
Some fun photos showing off just SOME of the house decor.

I love this photo. James is so anti-Halloween.. can ya tell?
My mom is so awesome!
Olli and Grams.
This thing talked and scared Olli.
He didn't like it.. hence the scowl.
Our family photo :)
LOL I love this photo. This is Brett in the coffin, waiting for more trick-o-treaters.
Note: you can see that I made a nice comfy bed for him by putting a fluffy blanket in the coffin for him. :) I'm so good to him.
Luckily, we got him the iphone just a few days before so that is what he played with while waiting to scare ppl.
The witches brew/ mom's stew
LOVE love this photo!!
And to end this night, bathtime from a zombie.

9 months young.

Last week we went to Oliver's 9 month appt. but then we all get horribly sick and that's why I'm not blogging about it till now. Here are his stats:

Height: 28 in. (15%)
Weight: 18 lbs. (10%)
Head: ? (50%!!!!!!)

Though the stats say he is a short, skinny guy with a big head, he totally looks proportionate. He is pretty wobbly when he stands, and he hits his head a lot on things. I'm guessing he gets tired of holding it up. But he is as cute as a button and has SIX teeth! He is starting to bite me, not Brett, just me :)

Black Island Farm.

I LOOOOOVE the fall. I love pumpkins, cold air, Halloween, and pretty much everything else that relates to the fall time. Friday, we decided to go Black Island Farm which is just down the road to go on a hayride! Oliver loves the outdoors so we knew he would love to go on a ride in the fields. While we were waiting for the hayride to begin we took a few photos, of course. To our surprise they took us their pumpkin patch and let us pick a pumpkin each! It was really fun but Oliver ended up falling asleep on the way back. :)

Oliver with his awesome beanie!

Oliver also got this new coat, and he likes to eat the toggles.
Daddy and Oliver waiting for the nice man to come cut off the pumpkin they chose.
Mommy and Oliver enjoying the huge pumpkin patch :)

The Zoo!

The other Monday we headed to the Hogle Zoo!!! It was perfect condition for a zoo day. The weather was so nice, not hot at all, and it wasn't crowded. We had fun seeing all the animals, but it does make me sad to see that the animals don't have much space to roam about. On a happier note, there was a baby elephant and baby giraffe! They were so cute especially the elephant, he kept playing with his ball and walking up to his mommy. We went on the carousel AND the train! Cairi and Oliver loved it!

Grams, Cairi, and Oliver! Before we begin our fun!

The cute baby elephant.

The happy family!

Here we are on the carousel.

Happy sunday!

The other week we had stake conference in Ogden. It was a really pretty day so afterwards we walked around the temple grounds. Oliver loved the water fountain! He was probably thinking it was just a giant bathtub and wanted to go in. Here some fun pics we took. I'm slowly but surely getting caught up on my blog!!!

My sweet little Oliver.

Look how happy this kid is! I love it.

The happy family :)

lock'em up!

Kids these days get away with everything. They don't get punished because parents are worried it will hurt their self esteem, and frankly, some parents just don't care. But I will have you know, We are not THOSE kind of parents. Cairi and Oliver don't get away with squat! Punishment builds character. If they put one foot out of line, it is straight to the dog house!

This is Ozzy's house and Cairi decided to make it her own :)

Look at that Jailbird face. Tough stuff.
I like how you can see Cairi in the background in the kennel. LOL

Date night.

We are so happy that our good friends, Danielle & Alex, have moved up to Layton. Now we get to see them more often. We had a date night and went to the Bountiful Temple, thanks to grandma Kelly for watching Oliver :)

The cute couple ;)

Ya, we are great dancers, can ya tell?!
